About Camp Kawartha

Camp Kawartha has been providing magical summers for children and teens since 1921. Founded as a boy's camp on Clear Lake by the Rotary Club of Peterborough, Camp Kawartha has grown into a year-round operation including a co-ed summer camp, a residential outdoor education centre and conference & retreat centre.

The camp is governed by Camp Kawartha Incorporated, a not-for-profit charitable organization (Registration #12453 9214 RR0001) managed by a volunteer Board of Directors and a year-round professional staff.

Camp Kawartha is a not-for-profit, charitable organization dedicated to promoting quality outdoor, environmental and leadership opportunities for children and adults year round. Promoting the interrelationship between all living things, we develop positive stewards of our natural and human communities.

Vision Statement

Camp Kawartha wants to be recognized as a national leader in the delivery of high quality and inspirational outdoor and environmental programming. We strive to teach and promote sustainable living practice to children and adults of all ages and abilities.
