Funding
Camp Kawartha is a registered, not-for-profit charitable organization managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
The majority of revenues are used to pay for the operations of the organization and facility. Camp Kawartha receives no core funding for its operations. The large majority of its revenues – approximately 80 per cent – come from user fees. The remaining revenues come from contributions by individual and corporate donors, and from occasional and project-specific foundation and government grants. Camp Kawartha strives to fund as many children in financial need as possible. Each year more than 5% of the camping community receives a subsidy/or grant to attend the Camp’s programs.
We are very grateful to all of our donors. Without the goodwill and generosity of our many donors, we would not be able to deliver the many services we have become known for.
To donate, please use our donation form. All donations will receive a tax receipt.
