How the program works:
Thanks to a generous donation from the Gainey Foundation and with assistance from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and Kawartha Credit Union, Camp Kawartha is able to offer a series of unique, environmental arts programming at a reduced price of $8.00/student (regular $10/student). A bussing subsidy is also available - $50 per class within the city limits or $100 per class from outside the city limits.
To qualify for this program, teachers must select an environmental arts programs. Teachers may also select one additional environmental program as described in our Environment Centre Brochure.

Environmental Art Programs
All of these programs are designed to foster a connection between students and their local environment. By enhancing sensory awareness and by practicing nature appreciation through artistic expression, we deepen a child’s connection to the living systems that sustain use all. These programs seek to make a complementary balance between science and art. The art projects help to further anchor student’s knowledge of an environmental concept. Some of the program descriptions you’ll recognize from the web and/or our other brochures while others are being created especially for this exciting new project.
