RBC Sustainable Living Series: The Way Forward

Thanks to the generosity of the RBC Foundation, the Camp Kawartha Environment Centre is proud to offer a series of free workshops on sustainable living.  In this series, held from January to June 2011, local and regional experts will share practical steps that make businesses and homes a little greener. All sessions will be held at The Camp Kawartha Environment Centre, one of Canada’s most sustainable buildings.

Since then we have been committed to environmental management and continuous improvement and to support this commitment we published the RBC Environmental Blueprint in 2007, a clear articulation of our corporate environmental policy, priorities and objectives. Andrew will discuss RBC's priority environmental issues and objectives, programs, recent accomplishments and challenges that face the organization.

A three hour event with Mark Morey and the Ontario Art of Mentoring Team, providing inspired examples of nature connection, and stories of cultural tools and skill sets used to connect people with nature. Mark will be sharing insights on how these are proving highly successful in connecting people with nature in an international movement. You’ll also learn more about what Mark refers to as “Cultural Mentoring” and how it can be used to create healthier environments, relationships, and communities.

Open House & Puppet Show - "Jacob's Dream"

Come join The Paddling Puppeteers in unveiling their new puppet show, Jacob's Dream! Cool Captain Climate jouneys to the arctic, meets Nanook, the polar bear and learns how climate change is changing the north. He then flies back to southern Ontario and teams up with Jacob of Camp Kawartha to build a sustainable nature centre called the Camp Kawartha Environment Centre.
