Girl Guides & Boy Scouts

If you’re looking for a magical place to hold your next group, district or family camp, why not consider the Kawartha Centre; a beautiful, reasonably priced facility located in the heart of the Kawarthas. We offer your group exclusive use of the facilities, accommodating up to 150 people. 

Located on the south shore of Clear Lake, only half an hour from Peterborough, we have 750 ’ of waterfront, a large dining hall with a stone fireplace, a cozy meeting space with a wood stove, and winterized cabins. We do in-house catering, or if you prefer you can also bring your own qualified cooking staff.

Opportunities to Earn Badges

With 186 acres of beautiful land with trails, forests, and wetlands, we offer lots of opportunities for your group to explore nature and learn about the environment - all while meeting specific badge requirements, or just enjoying some outdoor recreation!

We offer over 45 interactive programs that are both educational and fun, which we can modify to suit older or younger children.

We had a beautiful winter weekend at Camp Kawartha. It was somewhere new for us at Girl Guides. We brought our own cook which cut down on cost for us. Rotary Hall is a big, beautiful, bright hall that held all of us. The girls made snow forts and games out side most of the weekend. It sure was nice not to have to take a bus. The staff was very helpful and made us very welcome.
